Route 1: Carlingford to Omeath (via the Greenway)

This is our most popular route. Travel from Carlingford to Omeath along the Greenway. Enjoy uninterrupted sea and mountain views as you cycle along this spectular coastline! This route is family friendly. Take in the slow paced atmosphere of Omeath, where there is plenty to see and do.

Route 2: Carlingford to Greenore
Approximate Duration: 1 – 1.5 hour.
Distance: 5km x 2.
Best for: Beginners.

Take an easy spin to Greenore. Relax and watch the ships pass by or take a stroll on the beach. Enjoy the panoramic views that inspired C.S. Lewis to create Narnia when he wrote The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Route 3: Carlingford to Whitestown
Approximate Duration: 2 – 2.5 hours.
Distance: 9km x 2.
Best for:  Beginners.

If you are in need of a change from the hustle and bustle of the city, why not take a trip to Whitestown. Cycle along this enchanting coastline and enjoy a leisurely cycle through this most tranquil and unspoiled part of the country.
Savour some of the local hospitality in the renowned Lily Finnegans pub,locally famous for its friendly atmosphere.

Route 4: Carlingford to Templetown
Approximate Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours.
Distance: 10.5km x 2.
Best for: Beginners / Intermediate.

During the summer months, why not visit Templetown beach! This is one of Ireland’s undiscovered gems! Famous for it’s long strand which connects to the neighbouring beach of Shelling Hill. Enjoy a long walk or just take a break and soak up the sun.

Route 5: Carlingford to Dundalk
Approximate Duration: 3.5 – 4 hours.
Distance: 28km x 2.
Best for: Intermediates.

For those looking for a more challenging spin, why not visit, Louth’s largest town, Dundalk! This is a busy town with a lot to offer the visitor. Dundalk boasts a variety of cafes, bars and shops.
